Keep the Whole World Singing

The West Central Connection Chorus was formed in 1993 by a merger of the Montevideo Fiesta City Chorus and the Kandi-o-hi-lo Chorus of Willmar Minnesota.  Photographs and memorabilia from both older groups and from the new chorus, plus music and administrative files are kept in a classic downtown office building, donated for chorus use by member Paul Mikkelson.  Warmly referred to as Harmony Hall West, after the Singing Society’s home in Kenosha, Wisconsin, the classic building is used for board meetings, quartet practice and administration.

The Chorus membership comes from many communities, making the group truly a regional chorus.  Men come to sing from Willmar, Montevideo, Atwater, Spicer, Renville, Litchfield, Milan, Marshall, Echo, Wood Lake, St. Cloud, Sartell, Hutchinson, Grove City, Benson, Granite Falls, Kerkhoven, Sunberg and New London.  There are six non-singing retired members.

The chorus is always looking for more men to join in the fun of singing. Chapter rehearsal at the Willmar Senior Citizen’s Center at 7:00 p.m. to 9:30 p.m. on Monday evenings. Please join us and share in the fun.  Having an interest in music is all the skill necessary.
